Rev. Younghoon Lee,
Ph.D. Senior Pastor,
Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul, Korea

I am so pleased to have you all here in Seoul for the Asian Leaders Summit 2014, and share our passionate visions for the kingdom of God. I am also excited to have the privilege of working together with you for Asian mission works. Our Lord promised in Acts 1:8, ¡°You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.¡±Likewise, the gospel of Jesus Christ began in Israel two thousand years ago, and has spread out all over the world.

In the long history of humankind, any people and countries have been blessed and prosperous when they received the gospel. Korea is an excellent example of this truth.Once receiving the gospel, Korea has been blessed in all aspects and become a missionary country that has sent the second largest number of missionaries to the world?only shy to the U.S. The growth of Christianity in Asia is remarkable. Asia is thus no longer the periphery of Christianity. Nor is Christianity a "western religion" in Asia any more. Today, more Asian churches and Christians long for the Holy Spirit. In order to accomplish the Great Commission from the Lord, we have to make every effort to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).

Beloved pastors and church leaders, my earnest prayer for all of us is that, during this great event, we may refresh and rediscover our callings for the kingdom of God as well as share our visions with other pastors and pray together. I also sincerely pray that the Asian Leaders Summit 2014 may be a great opportunity to restore our holy passions to reach the lost and guide them to our Lord Jesus Christ.

" Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever" (Daniel 13:3).
