Wataru Sugahara was born in Oct 18th, 1944 Osaka Japan. I am a senior pastor of Kobe Christ Glory Church. I've been ministering in this church for 36years.

I am a chairman of Japan Open Bible Churches, and the chief executive of Empowered 21 All Japan, and the chief director of Japan Church Growth Institute Network and I am a board member of Japan Pentecostal churches fellowship and a board member of Nippon Revival Alliance. Also I am teaching at two Bible schools in Japan.

I became Christian through American missionary when I was seventeen. I was a vice president of my father’s electric company before I dedicated my life to Christ when I was 32.

I was a chief coordinator of Pastor Benny Hinn for 10years. I coordinated conference for him whenever he came to Japan. I am ministering three churches. My vision is to work for God through ‘Empowered 21 All Japan’ and I pray that whole. Japanese will be saved by our Lord Jesus Christ.

My hobby is to play golf, go fishing, skiing and traveling. I have one daughter and two grandsons. They are living upper room of my house.

We had big earth quake 18years ago in Kobe area, and around our church area had big fire. But by the grace of God, our church was saved. 5years after the earth quake happened. Our church increased three times bigger than before.
